This workshop is designed to help HYF trainees improve their presentation skills. The workshop is tailored to the context of working in a tech organisation. The ability to clearly present ideas in meetings, code reviews, or standups, is a critical skill for (junior) developers. We want HYF trainees to develop these skills during their time with HYF, with this workshop as the starting point.
This workshop provides a low-pressure, safe space to practice presentation techniques. During the workshop, trainees experiment with giving a short presentation. We will focus on body language, tone of voice, structure of the message and most importantly, building confidence through practice.
After the workshop, trainees will receive an assignment to prepare a 3 minute online presentation in sub groups. HYF staff will provide feedback to each trainee to improve further.
