• Scope creep: trying to build too much and delivering nothing complete
• Skipping documentation: a project without a README is hard to evaluate and impossible to hand off
• Not deploying early: waiting until the last day to deploy usually ends in disaster
• Ignoring the web team's needs: building a pipeline that outputs data in a format nobody can use
• Single point of failure: one team member holds all the knowledge and the project stalls when they are unavailable
• Forgetting to test: a demo that breaks live is worse than a smaller demo that works reliably
