Week 4 Overview

By now you have the full working loop: build, enter existing code safely, take a feature from idea to a reviewed PR. This week is about making the agent yours — the configuration layer that turns a generic assistant into a tuned member of your project: skills (packaged know-how it picks up per task), models (which brain for which job), connectors (its hands beyond the repository), and subagents (your role-chats, automated).

The week ends with a bridge: you'll use all of it to prepare the launchpad for next week's capstone.

Learning goals

• Extract repeated instructions into a skill the agent picks up automatically.
• Pick a model per task type — powerful for reasoning and review, fast for routine — and switch deliberately.
• Connect external services via MCP (Desktop and CLI) and understand the security tradeoff of each connection.
• Turn your role-chats into subagents: files in .claude/agents/ with restricted tools.
• Configure a complete environment for your capstone: repo, CLAUDE.md, subagents, connectors, model strategy.
